This past weekend, a Nationwide Tour Professional put into play the company’s SYNC Series 5 Putter (SS5) to finish the four-day Rex Hospital Open tournament at a 12-under 272, just a stroke of the champion.
According to STX Director of Golf Steve Henneman, “The SYNC Series 5 played a very important role in this tie for third. In the first round it was used to clinch eight birdie putts for a score of 63 and in a difficult final round, it was used repeatedly to redeem a poor hole. We attribute these critical putts made to our soft face insert which actually cradle the ball three times longer than metal face putters. What that means is the insert keeps the ball in contact with the putter face longer for better control, less skidding, and a truer roll.”
The STX SS5 Putter helped this Nationwide Professional record his best finish of the season and move him to 27th on the Nationwide Tour’s money list, just two positions from the top 25 which automatically qualify for the PGA Tour.
