After-school golf programs will enrich the lives of children and impact area schools and community-based organizations
Seattle, WA – One of the nation’s most successful and fast-growing youth sports companies, which specializes in developing golf enrichment programs for youngsters, has expanded to the Pacific Northwest. Local businessman Brad Kirkpatrick has acquired a TGA Premier Junior Golf franchise in North Seattle.
TGA Premier Junior Golf is one of the leading initiatives to grow the game of golf and the only national after-school golf enrichment program in the country.
“Brad’s business background along with his passion for youth and sports is a perfect recipe for TGA success and growing the game of golf and impacting youth in the Seattle area,” explains Joshua Jacobs, chief executive officer of TGA. “TGA now covers every region of the country and we are very excited about the opportunity to bring our first TGA golf franchise to the Seattle area and enriching the lives of youth through our unique five level golf enrichment program.”
TGA Premier Junior Golf of North Seattle is expected to impact thousands of youth annually by introducing the game of golf to children at elementary and middle schools, child care centers and community based organizations through a multi-level instruction program. TGA will then transition students to local partner golf courses through summer camps and parent child clinics creating new customers for courses.
TGA’s Five Level Enrichment Program empowers kids to advance from one stage to the next while building self-esteem. Moreover, the program promotes each pupil’s ability to grow and learn the game while enabling each student to improve in school. TGA’s unique curriculum is designed to enrich young people’s lives through physical fitness, health and nutrition, character building, and education with academic lessons in math, science, history and English.
Kirkpatrick, a former financial, business and team leadership consultant working for such companies as Ernst & Young, Kibble & Prentice and Washington Mutual, was looking to leave the corporate world and find a career that reflected his passion for golf. He found the opportunity to own his own business with TGA and made the career change.
Kirkpatrick is an avid golfer who still maintains a single digit handicap and plays competitively. He resides in Seattle and is married and father to three children, Alex (5), Tyler (3) and Anna (1).
“I have always had a passion for golf, which I still play frequently, and also love working with and coaching young kids. TGA has allowed me to fulfill a dream of having a career in the golf industry while impacting the lives of youth along the way,” Kirkpatrick says.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to expose North Seattle children to the game of golf. TGA has built a proven curriculum that allows children to have positive outcomes learning the game while developing their character and academic skills. I couldn’t be more proud to be a part of such an outstanding organization.”
TGA’s sports franchises, which run the leading school- and community-based youth golf and tennis programs in the U.S., are geared toward motivated self-starters who are passionate about the sport, their community and enjoy working with children. Each franchise offers not only business ownership and job opportunities in the industry, but also unique ways to grow the sports.
