BEAVERTON, OR. – Leupold & Stevens, Inc. announces the hiring of Rob Morrison as vice president of marketing.
For the last four years, Morrison served as the director of marketing & strategic planning for Benchmade Knife Company. While at Benchmade, Morrison was a member of the senior management team responsible for facilitating the company’s strategic growth plan, including product line expansion, market expansion, co-brand and licensing activity, and acquisition strategies. He also oversaw all marketing, advertising and brand management activity for all brands in Benchmade’s portfolio (Benchmade, Lone Wolf Knives, Harley-Davidson Knives, Heckler & Koch Knives and Bone Collector Knives).
Prior to his tenure at Benchmade, Morrison was a partner and director of strategic planning at Leopold Ketel & Partners, a leading marketing firm in the Pacific Northwest. Before joining Leopold Ketel, Morrison served as vice president at the Chicago advertising agency Leo Burnett USA. Over an 8-year-span at Leo Burnett, he worked on a variety of global accounts including Nintendo, Johnnie Walker scotch, Miller Lite beer and Walt Disney theme parks.
The vice president of marketing is a new position at Leupold & Stevens, Inc. and was created to lead global branding, advertising, trade marketing and product development efforts for all Leupold and Redfield products.
According to Calvin Johnston, president and CEO of Leupold & Stevens, Inc., “Rob is going to be a strong leader for the Leupold & Stevens marketing team. He brings an insightful strategic perspective and deep knowledge of the drivers of growth that are essential to our long-term growth. We are excited to have him join the executive team.”

Morrison earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Harvard University. He currently lives in Portland, Ore., with his wife and two young sons.
