IRVINE, CA – June 28, 2012 – FOURTEEN GOLF, the recognized leader in wedge design with now 40 worldwide professional tour victories since 2010, proudly announced today that the company had 16 professional golfers play their equipment at the Preferred Wichita Open and two of these professionals enjoyed a Top-10 finish.
According to FOURTEEN GOLF COO Marcy Kamoda, “We are incredibly proud of our PGA/Nationwide Tour programs. Every season our representatives Rusty Estes and Steve Loerzel strive to grow the number of professionals playing the product and having 16 players in the field relying on our equipment means they are succeeding. In addition, there were 37 FOURTEEN GOLF clubs in play, another milestone on the Nationwide Tour for the company.”
A 13-under par 271, which includes three rounds in the sixties and tied this Nationwide Professional for fourth place, was credited to a FOURTEEN GOLF wedge. “Our wedges have a strong following on the Nationwide Tour. These professionals know how important the short game is and how a precise short shot sets up a birdie putt. They also trust the consistent spin our wedges impart,” added Kamoda.
The new RM-11 Wedge is played on many tours including; the PGA, Nationwide, and LPGA Tour. Its immediate acceptance by these touring professionals validated its performance characteristics associated with the enlarged grooves.
The larger grooves translate to maximum spin with exceptional control. The new USGA conforming FOURTEEN GOLF trapezoidal grooves have been enlarged by 15% as compared to its predecessor.
This increase in overall groove volume enhances spin retention particularly on partial shots and provides extraordinary control, incomparable spin and precision like accuracy.
To ensure optimal spin with precision and tighter tolerances, FOURTEEN GOLF mirror mills each larger groove on the RM-11 Wedge. This additional procedure takes an enormous amount of time but it is done to achieve and attain the highest spin performance possible.
The RM-11 Series of Wedges feature a different sole shape according to a specific loft. The 48-degree loft is designed for optimum performance and control with a full shot. Where the 56 and 58-degree lofts are engineered to employ or take advantage of the bounce with an approach shot. The 60-degree wedge is designed to assist with a high lob shot.
FOURTEEN GOLF is a burgeoning golf equipment company that takes great pride in their tour program. This year FOURTEEN GOLF officially signed
Japanese golfing prodigy and PGA Professional Ryuji Imada to a three year endorsement deal which includes a staff bag, head covers, hat, umbrella and wedges. He joins FOURTEEN GOLF team members PGA Professionals Chad Collins and Arjun Atwal.
