BELLEVUE, Wash. (June 30, 2012) – Boxgroove (www.boxgroove.com), an inventive, reliable online network offering golfers the opportunity to play private golf courses of their choosing, has welcomed Wilcox Oaks Golf Club in Red Bluff, Calif., to the selection of private courses Boxgroove members can play.
“This beautiful club in the Northern Sacramento Valley features an attractive golf course and very nice amenities,” said McRedmond Morelli, founder and CEO of Boxgroove. “When traveling in California, this is a course Boxgroove members certainly will want to play.”
About Wilcox Oaks Golf Club
Tucked away just north of Red Bluff on 120 acres of gently-rolling oak woodlands, Wilcox Oaks Golf Club is one of the jewels of the Northern Sacramento Valley, offering a bold challenge to golfers and a welcome respite from the daily rigors of life. The facility includes a full bar, restaurant and pro shop. The leisurely country atmosphere and friendly staff are dedicated to satisfying the needs of every member and guest.
Since the early 1920s when the benefactor Grant Wilcox and a few other golf enthusiasts began play on unwatered fairways and sand greens, the goal was to make Wilcox Oaks Golf Club one of the best golfing and recreational values in the Shasta Cascade Wonderland. On land gifted to the club after Mr. Wilcox’s death in 1957, the first well was dug and irrigation for the first nine holes soon followed. Wilcox Oaks Golf Club was incorporated in 1958. The full 18-hole layout was completed in 1977, and improvements continue to this day.
“When I heard about Boxgroove, I decided to give it a try because it is such a win-win situation for our members,” said Bill DeWildt, PGA Professional Director of Golf at Wilcox Oaks Golf Club. “It will bring more extensive exposure to our club. In addition, we have a lot of members who travel, so the opportunity to go online and set up with Boxgroove is so much more convenient than having me call the club they want to play and wait for a response from my fellow professionals.”
About Boxgroove
More than a tee-time aggregator, reciprocal-club network or fractionalized country-club membership, Boxgroove, founded in 2009, offers players seeking diverse golf experiences the opportunity to forge new golf relationships and play private courses in the United States, which they select from the Boxgroove options. Boxgroove provides members with meaningful opportunities to play private golf clubs around the U.S., a powerful arena for business and social networking, a simple Web-based method of accessing tee times at private golf clubs and a national community that shares passion for the game. For business or vacation travel, or even a weekend away, Boxgroove provides members with the chance to explore appealing golf venues while meeting new players or bringing their own guests.
Boxgroove’s Membership Lead Service is a valuable component of a club’s approach to member satisfaction. It provides club management the capability of contacting specific target groups of golfers, filtered and selected by each club, to present special offers or information. A prominent feature of the program is that Boxgroove will share its golfer analytic data with the executive staff of affiliated clubs to identify and reach out to prospective members.
Designed by private-club members, PGA Golf Professionals and private-club board members, Boxgroove works exclusively with private clubs to strengthen and grow membership, maximize revenue and increase club exposure.
