JULY 1, 2012-CHICAGO-Chicago-based Tourbound Golf Academy is proud to announce that one of its longtime clients, Selanee Henderson, is among the contestants on Big Break Atlantis, currently airing on The Golf Channel.
Working under the tutelage of Director of Instruction Scot Nei since 2007, Henderson first came to Tourbound following her appearance in the 2007 U.S. Women’s Open in Southern Pines, NC, at the age of 20.
A native of Apple Valley, CA, Henderson, 25, enjoyed one win and one runner-up finish while playing on the 2011 Cactus Tour and is the younger sister of former Olympic wrestler and current MMA fighter Dan Henderson.
While working together in Chicago recently, Nei introduced Selanee to the revolutionary “Golf Robot” that Tourbound Academy utilizes when working with all of its students.
Scheduled to be on display at this year’s Ryder Cup, the Golf Robot uses state of the art technology to capture each student’s swing and then, through the miracle of modern technology, helps get them on the perfect swing plane based on physics and student flexibility.
“Working with the Golf Robot allowed Selanee to really understand what the top players in the world’s swings actually feel like, both on the takeaway and follow through,” said Nei. “The robot has really helped her understand the direction we are going with regards to finding her perfect swing path.”
“Selanee is so smart and really picks up everything that we’ve been teaching her since day one,” said Nei. “We’ve worked hard together and her potential is literally off the charts.”
