IRVINE, CA – July 5, 2012 – FOURTEEN GOLF, the recognized leader in wedge design with now 43 worldwide professional tour victories since 2010, proudly announced today that four LPGA Professionals played a FOURTEEN GOLF wedge and finished in the top ten of the NW Arkansas Championship.
According to FOURTEEN GOLF COO Marcy Kamoda, “Capturing a Top-10 finish is quite an achievement but tying for second place, one stroke from the win is remarkable. We thank this young LPGA player for using our wedges and congratulate her on an outstanding performance.”
The LPGA professional who tied for second, shot a second round 65 which included six birdies and no bogies. During the final round she fired five birdies with one bogey. Her FOURTEEN GOLF wedges helped her attack the pin and took the pressure off her putting. The company was also credited with a 6th and 7th place finish as well as a tie for tenth.
“The short game is pivotal in scoring low and making birdies. Players of every level need to get the ball close to the pin to have a chance at a short birdie putt. This is why so many golf professionals play our wedges,” added Kamoda.
Many FOURTEEN GOLF wedge models are played on the LPGA but the universal favorite is the RM-11 Wedge. The professionals prefer the new model because of the enlarged grooves. These bigger grooves translate to maximum spin with exceptional control. The new USGA conforming FOURTEEN GOLF trapezoidal grooves have been enlarged by 15% as compared to its predecessor.
This increase in overall groove volume enhances spin retention particularly on partial shots and provides extraordinary control, incomparable spin and precision like accuracy.
To ensure optimal spin with precision and tighter tolerances, FOURTEEN GOLF mirror mills each larger groove on the RM-11 Wedge. This additional procedure takes an enormous amount of time but it is done to achieve and attain the highest spin performance possible.
The RM-11 Series of Wedges feature a different sole shape according to a specific loft. The 48-degree loft is designed for optimum performance and control with a full shot. Where the 56 and 58-degree lofts are engineered to employ or take advantage of the bounce with an approach shot. The 60-degree wedge is designed to assist with a high lob shot.
FOURTEEN GOLF is a burgeoning golf equipment company that takes great pride in their tour program. This year FOURTEEN GOLF officially signed
Japanese golfing prodigy and PGA Professional Ryuji Imada to a three year endorsement deal which includes a staff bag, head covers, hat, umbrella and wedges. He joins FOURTEEN GOLF team members PGA Professionals Chad Collins and Arjun Atwal.
