‘The Hottest Shafts In Golf’ sweeps shaft manufacturer counts on PGA Tour for 2nd consecutive week
POWAY, Calif. – The winners of the Champions Tour Nature Valley First Tee Open and the PGA Tour Greenbrier Classic both benefitted from Aldila’s cutting edge shaft technology. The winner of the Nature Valley First Tee Open notched his first Champions Tour victory playing Aldila’s RIP Phenom shaft in his Driver. Likewise, the winner of the Greenbrier Classic picked up his first win on the PGA Tour playing Aldila’s VooDoo shaft in his 3 Wood.
The Phenom integrates Aldila’s Tour proven RIP (Reverse Interlaminar Placement) Technology® with a unique shaft design to create a new and innovative flex profile for maximum distance and control known as the Hyperbolic Flex Zone. The new technology features a stiff tip section for optimal launch and spin control with a very firm butt section for an incredible stable feel, while the center section of the shaft is softer to provide unmatched kick through impact for maximum ball speed.
“The new RIP Phenom incorporates the same flex, torque and feel properties that have made the original RIP the leading shaft on the PGA Tour, with a flex profile to achieve unparalleled performance and launch characteristics for better players,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager.
Aldila’s VooDoo® shaft, featuring S-core Technology™, is designed with an innovative rib structure that runs the length of the shaft increasing hoop strength/stiffness. It is designed to maximize energy transfer to the golf ball, yielding unparalleled distance and accuracy with each swing.
Not only did Aldila shafts post two wins this week, but they swept the shaft manufacturer counts for the second consecutive week on the PGA Tour. At The Greenbrier Classic, “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” won the driver, wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts maintaining their status as the #1 graphite shaft on the PGA Tour, according to the Darrell Survey. Aldila had 35 more wood shafts and seven more hybrid shafts in play than their closest competitor. Aldila has won the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts at 27 of 29 PGA Tour events this season.
“The Hottest Shafts In Golf” continues to improve upon its leading technology and is taking it to the next level by incorporating it into iron shafts. In fact, the seventh place finisher at the Greenbrier Classic has been playing a full set of Aldila’s Prototype RIP irons for a few months on the PGA Tour. The Arizona native’s 7th place finish at the Greenbrier Classic marked his 5th top 10 finish since switching to the new graphite iron shafts.
Aldila catapults power to an unprecedented level. High performance technology harnessed and perfected from a special blend of materials, design and expertise. They are continually on the leading edge of the golf world through their relentless pursuit of the next best innovation. They do the experimenting so you don’t have to.
