CHICAGO, July 10, 2012 – Streamsong® Resort, a new resort destination under construction in Polk County, Florida, and its management company, Interstate Hotels & Resorts, today announced the selection of KemperLesnik as the public relationsagency for the resort’s golf operations.
KemperLesnik will provide services utilizing media and industry relations activities to generate awareness of Streamsong’s Red and Blue golf courses. The agency will help strengthen the resort’s golf brand through a targeted media relations program and will also lead grand opening efforts to capture and communicate the essence of the Streamsong golf experience through event management and public relations.
“Streamsong Red and Blue are two of today’s most highly anticipated golf course openings,” said Amy Littleton, senior vice president of KemperLesnik. “We are honored to have been selected to lead public relations efforts for such an exciting project.”
Two renowned golf course architectural firms, Coore & Crenshaw Associates and Tom Doak-led Renaissance Golf Design, have created two distinct yet intertwined 18-hole golf courses on formerly mined phosphate land. Through collaboration, both architectural firms have leveraged their experience working on unique sand sites to design two separate yet connected golf courses. The topography of the land, which features elegant elevations and dramatic contours left from the mining process, will make for a challenging, unusual and aesthetically fulfilling golf atmosphere.
“KemperLesnik’s strong reputation in public relations, particularly its capabilities in the golf industry, made the agency a clear choice to help lead the communications program for Streamsong Red and Blue,” said Tom Sunnarborg, vice president – land development and management for The Mosaic Company, the owner-developer of Streamsong Resort.
Streamsong will feature a main lodge and nearby golf clubhouse offering a combined 228 guest rooms, approximately 18,500 square feet of flexible conference and meeting space, a full-service spa, fine and casual dining, several bars including a rooftop lounge at the main lodge, guided bass fishing on surrounding lakes, hiking and birding trails, a sporting clays range and two exceptional golf courses.
Streamsong Red and Blue and the lakeside golf clubhouse – which features 12 guest rooms, a steakhouse restaurant, 4,500 square feet of meeting space, a lounge and golf shop – are scheduled to open in December 2012. The resort’s main lodge and all other amenities are projected to open in fall 2013.
In February 2012, Interstate Hotels & Resorts was selected to manage Streamsong Resort. KemperLesnik’s parent company, KemperSports, was selected to manage Streamsong’s golf operations.
