NORTHBROOK, Ill. – July 12, 2012 – KemperSports, a leading golf course management company, has announced the promotion of Gary Glaser to general manager of The Crossings at Carlsbad in Carlsbad, Calif. The Crossings at Carlsbad features an 18-hole, Greg Nash-designed golf course that was named as one of the “Top 10 New Courses You Can Play” by GOLF Magazine when it debuted in August 2007.
Glaser has more than 10 years’ experience in the golf industry, specializing in sales, instruction and management. Glaser joined KemperSports and The Crossings at Carlsbad in 2007, and has served as the Director of Golf and Interim General Manager since the property opened. In addition to his responsibilities at The Crossings, Glaser has also served as President of the San Diego PGA Chapter during his career in Southern California. In 2011, Glaser was named Merchandiser of the Year for both the Southern California PGA Section and the San Diego Chapter.
“Gary’s leadership and experience at The Crossings have made him a valuable member of the KemperSports team,” said Steve Skinner, chief executive officer for KemperSports. “Under his leadership, The Crossings will celebrate its fifth anniversary this month, and we are confident he will continue to enhance the guest experience at the property.”
Prior to joining KemperSports, Glaser gained valuable experience in the golf industry through his previous positions as Director of Golf for Eagle Ridge Golf Resort and La Costa Spa and Resort in California.
