Golfing Families are Invited for a FUN Day of FREE Golf Activities & Instruction

ORLANDO, Fla. – July 11, 2012…As a fun alternative to playing 18 holes, golfers of all ages and abilities are invited to join their family members and experience the true meaning of “family togetherness on the links.” Marriott’s Grande Pines Golf Club and Faldo Golf Institute by Marriott today announced that they will be coming together to host the annual Family Golf Festival on Saturday, July 28, 2012, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Faldo Golf Institute by Marriott, 12001 Avenida Verde, Orlando, FL 32821.

Marriott’s Family Golf Festival, which encourages parents and children to learn and play the game together, invites families to Marriott Golf properties for a fun-filled afternoon of FREE golf instruction, clinics, exciting activities, interactive golf games, family golf programs, chances to win a variety of prizes, and so much more! In addition to all the morning fun, families who attend the event from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. will be able to take advantage of free golf after the event at both Faldo Golf Institute by Marriott and Marriott’s Grande Pines Golf Club, based on availability.

For more information on the Family Golf Festival or to book your tee time for after the event at Faldo Golf Institute by Marriott, call 407-238-7677 ext. 4040; or for Marriott’s Grande Pines Golf Club, call 407-239-6108. Tee times can be booked up to two days in advance. Marriott’s Grande Pines Golf Club and Faldo Golf Institute by Marriott are part of Marriott’s Grande Vista, a Marriott Vacation Club Resort, and are open to owners, guests and the general public.

The Family Golf Festival is just another effort by Marriott to promote family golf. In 2006, Marriott Golf launched “Kids Golf-4-Free,” a first-of-its-kind program that enables kids up to 15 years old to golf for free when accompanied by a full paying adult after 3 p.m. In addition, Marriott Golf offers free lessons anytime to kids up to 15 years old when accompanied by an adult who is taking a fully paid lesson from a Marriott Golf instructor at a participating location.
