NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (July 12, 2010) – KZG, the #1 Custom ProLine™ and IPAC (International Professional Association of ClubFitters) recently held a joint meeting at St. Andrews in Scotland.
34 professionals attended the event, representing some of the finest Professional Fitters and Teachers from the UK and Europe. The seminars included topics such as: the importance of partnering with the finest teaching professionals; new technologies and fitting techniques; product ideas; standards to raise the bar for the profession; and promotional ideas to help educate the public on where to go and what to expect in a bonafide custom fitting.

Studies report that 90% of golfers are still playing with ill-fitting clubs. There are far too few truly qualified Professional Fitters to serve the golfing public and IPAC is dedicated in raising the bar and growing the profession.”
A great deal of time was spent discussing how to better join forces with teaching professionals. Fitting and teaching professionals can and should be a symbiotic force to help golfers play a better game. Many teachers are threatened by fitters, yet with a little education they would see and understand the benefits of such a team. The reality is, teachers can’t teach around ill-fitting clubs. Once golfers are fit properly, lessons become relevant, the game becomes more exciting, the golfer will play more rounds and will look forward to even more lessons as he/she can see a marked improvement.
And the group knows how to have fun too. They played the Castle Course, Tom Norris was resurrected to give a dissertation on how they fit in the 1760’s, and they enjoyed a gourmet dinner with five different wine pairings in the beautiful conservatory of the Old Course Hotel overlooking the 17th Fairway.
