Helps customers reduce costs, increase revenues, collect data; reservation center an extension of golf courses’ phone systems
ORLANDO, Fla. (July 19, 2012) – GolfNow announced today it will offer 24-hour tee-time telephone reservation assistance to complement its online booking service. The new service will provide course operators the opportunity to reduce labor costs, improve data collection and customer service, as well as take advantage of GolfNow technology to increase revenues.
Despite the growth of online reservation services, the majority of tee times are still booked by phone. Courses that choose to use the GolfNow reservations center will free up staff to provide more personal attention to customers in the golf shop.
The phone reservation center will be integrated with each course’s existing phone system. Golfers calling to reserve a tee time will be greeted by an agent with a customized greeting for the course. Reservation agents also will be able to transfer callers who need more than tee-time assistance to the golf shop.
“We understand the need that most courses have to reduce labor costs while continuing to offer high levels of customer service,” said Will McIntosh, senior vice president of business development and strategy for GolfNow. “This service makes that possible, and at the same time, it increases the opportunity to maximize tee-time revenue.”
Utilizing GolfNow’s Dynamic Pricing Engine technology, reservation agents will match golfers to the tee times each course prioritizes. In addition to helping golfers book tee times, agents will capture e-mail addresses to increase courses’ marketing databases.
McIntosh added that calls will be recorded for quality assurance and that the dedicated GolfNow agents will be scored on their customer service, attitude and delivery.
Courses also may choose optional customized greetings recorded by Golf Channel personalities.
The new service is available to courses that are a part of GolfNow’s network of more than 4,000 courses across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom and Bermuda.
