‘Four!’ Black Butte Ranch Unveils Attractive Golf Package

July 23, 2012

BLACK BUTTE RANCH, Ore., July 19, 2012 – Golfers at Black Butte Ranch in Central Oregon this summer may have to listen closely to distinguish whether the “Fore!” they think they’re hearing is actually “Four!” After all, the destination family resort property’s summer golf package includes four rounds of free golf on either of its two championship golf courses – Big Meadow or the recently renovated Glaze Meadow – when staying a minimum of four nights.

Starting at $255/night and valid weekdays and weekends alike, the “Party of 4 Golf Package” is available now through Sept. 3. Since the guests receive four rounds of golf when they stay in a full-service lodging accommodation for at least four nights, the package is ideal for the family of four that plays golf together as an entire round would be “on the house.” There is no stipulation on who uses the free golf, however, as one person in the party could play all four rounds over four days or a couple could use them over a two-day period, for example.

It’s the perfect time to check out Black Butte Ranch with the recent re-opening of its Glaze Meadow Golf Course after a dramatic $3.75 million renovation by noted architect John Fought. At 7,007 yards and set amidst striking strands of Ponderosa Pines and Aspen forests, Glaze Meadow now plays longer by more than 400 yards and features many striking changes, including the rebuilding of all 18 greens and tee boxes and greatly improved sightlines and shotmaking options. The course feature a family-friendly five tee boxes, including one for juniors built forward to encourage youngsters to play the course along with the adults.

Also available for play is Black Butte Ranch’s 7,002-yard Big Meadow Course, a popular layout that has played host to numerous Oregon golf championships. The course, originally designed by Robert Muir Graves in 1970 and renovated by Damian Pascuzzo four years ago, provides a classic mountain golf experience.

For overnight guests, there are nearly 115 lodging properties at Black Butte Ranch to choose from, ranging from two-person hotel-style rooms to luxurious six-bedroom residences.
