Conshohocken: Jalen Griffin, a FitGolf Performance client won the Christman Cup this past Friday, July 20th at Merion Golf Club (West). There were 58 other golfers in the event.
Making bogey on the 17th hole sparked some nerves for Jalen. On the 18th, he refocused and put his second shot within inches of the hole. As he walked up to the 18th green, he knew he had won it. He tapped in for birdie to win, shooting 68-65. Jalen has been playing golf since he was 12 years old. He is currently a junior in high school.
“Relief is the feeling when walking off the green. It was my biggest win I’ve had yet,” says Griffin. He continues, “Many times this year I’ve had opportunities to pull off something great but fell short. Not this time!”
Jalen has been working with FitGolf Performance Centers for a few years. He states, “My game would not be where it is now without FitGolf. The stability and distance I have added with working with FitGolf has developed my game tremendously. I need all the distance I can get not being a big person and because of FitGolf, I have gained more distance turning 3 wood approach shots to mid to short irons which is crucial.”

Jalen is planning to attend college in the South or West of the country. He would like to continue his golf career while attending college. He is planning on selecting which college by the end of this year.
