By making birdie on the final two holes of the tournament, the 1992 Masters Champion was able to claim victory at Turnberry, winning the 2012 Senior British Open. With a SuperStroke 21″ belly grip in hand, the 15-time PGA Tour winner showed confidence on the greens all the way to the final putt, a 25-footer on 18 to secure his second senior major title.
“It’s my biggest senior tour win by far on a truly great golf course,” the player said. I can now say I won the Senior British Open at Turnberry in really challenging weather.”
SuperStroke putter grips were also spotted at the RBC Canadian Open, taking home 5 top 25 finishes. Leading the way for SuperStroke was a former world #1 ranked player and 3-time major champion. The 2000 Masters champion used a 17″ Slim Lite belly grip and finished 6th in putts per GIR (1.673).
To add to this success, SuperStroke grips were also played by 2 top 10 finishers on the European Tour (T6 and T8) as well as a T3 for a first time grip user on the Web.com Tour (also finished 2nd in putts per round for the week). This worldwide success comes as no surprise, bumping 2012 TOUR winnings over the $22 million dollar mark.
Total won in 2012 (to date): $22.1 Million
