The year’s final major is right around the corner and SuperStroke Golf made a statement by grabbing 6 total top 10’s in the PGA Tour events over the weekend.
Headlining the SuperStroke grip users in Akron, OH was Jason Dufner who finished in 7th place after closing with a Sunday 68. Using a Slim Lite Splash, Dufner, a 2-time winner on the PGA Tour, finished 9th in both strokes-gained and putts per GIR, 1.055 and 1.694 respectively. The Slim Lite had been a crucial part of his success this year where Jason currently sits second on the official money list, third in the FedEx Cup, and 8th in the official world rankings. SuperStroke Slim Lite grips were also played by two players that finished T8, winner of the 2010 Players Championship and winner of the 2001 PGA Championship.
At the Reno-Tahoe Open played in Reno, NV, SuperStroke grips were played by 18 players, including 6 top 25 finishers. Leading the way in Reno was the 2008 Zurich Classic champion, finishing 3rd for the event. Playing with a SuperStroke Slim Lite on his putter, the native of Argentina finished the tournament 2nd in strokes-gained (1.860) and T1 in birdies (23).
Between the two PGA Tour events, 26 players put a SuperStroke putter grip in play and the success was tremendous. With another $1.3 million earned this week, SuperStroke has its sights set on Kiawah Island and the PGA Championship.
