The 1987 edition of “Glory’s Last Shot” was a dramatic rendition of the PGA Championship, won by Larry Nelson in a sudden-death victory over Lanny Wadkins. The Champion Course also hosted the 1983 Ryder Cup and nearly two decades of the Senior PGA Championship.
This past March was PGA National’s sixth-straight year of hosting the Honda Classic. The wildly popular tournament, with Tiger Woods debuting professionally, attracted a record crowd of 161,700.
