North Stonington, Conn., August 13, 2012 – GOLF Magazine has named Lake of Isles-North Course as one of the Top 100 Courses You Can Play in its September issue. Lake of Isles, a Rees Jones design, has appeared every time on the GOLF Magazine’s biennial list since opening in 2005. Lake of Isles is ranked No. 85 on the 2012 Top 100 Courses You Can Play list and is the only Connecticut course on the prestigious list.
“We are extremely pleased that GOLF Magazine has once again selected the North Course as one of the top courses in the country,” stated Archie Cart, General Manager, Lake of Isles. “This honor is noteworthy because these accolades have become increasingly more competitive as new courses are being built around the country. I believe Lake of Isles’ challenging and beautiful layout, pristine course conditions and the overall guest experience makes us one of the top daily fee courses in the country.”
GOLF Magazine also included a state-by-state ranking for 2012 and Lake of Isles captured the top spot. Lake of Isles North Course is a par-72, stretching over 7,300 yards from the championship tees.
