ORLANDO, Fla. (August 21, 2012) – Golfweek today announced its promotion of associate publisher Jereme Day to the position of publisher effective immediately. Day succeeds Jason Redditt, who is leaving Golfweek to pursue other opportunities. Day will report directly to Francis X. Farrell, president and chief executive officer of Golfweek’s parent company, Turnstile Media Group.
“With more than a decade of experience in the golf industry and a proven record of growing key areas of our business, Jereme has been a fundamental part of Golfweek’s success in recent years,” said Farrell. “In this new role, we are confident that his leadership will allow us to not only strengthen our connection with both readers and clients, but also expand Golfweek’s overall reach and position as an integrated media brand.”
Day, 39, joined the Golfweek team in 2005 as advertising director for travel and non-endemic accounts. In 2010, he was appointed to the position of associate publisher, where he acted as an ambassador to advertisers and led Golfweek’s sales team to exceed annual revenue goals. As publisher, Day will continue to oversee Golfweek’s sales initiatives, while also pursuing new platforms and partnership opportunities.
“There is no doubt that Golfweek has become an incredibly dynamic and diverse brand, driven by the superior quality of the products we create,” said Day. “Using this excellence as a springboard, I’m excited to work with our team and our advertisers to integrate our assets in new and unique ways.”
