Shenzhen, China – The 16,000-square-meter Asia Golf Show is the most important show in Asia golf to take place in the latter part of 2012. Covering the world’s fastest-growing South China and Asian markets, AGS will feature bustling golf equipment, apparel, travel, course maintenance, design and lifestyle areas, presenting a full inventory of new to market products.
This supercharged event is organized by Reed Guanghe Exhibitions and the China Golf Association, and co-organized by the PGA World Alliance. Asia Golf Show is the leading regional platform for networking, trading and education, as it delivers an opportunity for suppliers to meet distributors, club executives and enthusiasts from China and key Asian hubs like Hongkong, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and more. The expected 8,000 qualified visitors to the show includes 450 highly-valued TAP buyers covering golf course management with plans to rebuild, expand and maintain their courses and facilities, and key distributors looking for new and innovative products. Among the core of the VIPs will be hundreds of high net worth enthusiasts joining the show’s selection of public and private functions and events from November 30-December 2 at the state of the art Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center.
Taking place at Asia’s convenient crossroads, Shenzhen, AGS will be the place to discuss new initiatives and insights across the pan-Asian industry. To draw professional attendees, show partners such as the GCSAA, GCBAA and ASGCA will bring the insight of the game’s leading associations to the show. This year’s educational programs include: a Turf Science Academy on golf course maintenance run under the guidance of Olympic Club superintendent Pat Finlen, education from ASGCA-member designers Lee Schmidt and Rick Robbins, seminars from GCBAA experts, and the highly-anticipated return of the PGA Teaching & Coaching Summit – Asia, which brings golf’s best teachers together for an exchange of best practices.
Among the show highlights is the Golf Travel Pavilion, located right at the front of the show floor. This pavilion is one of a kind in Asia as it allows buyers to source the latest resort and travel services in Golf from around the world. The 2011 China Golf Industry Report showed that 81% of the avid players in China (approx. 290,000 players) are considering taking at least one trip in the coming year, but current mass travel destinations aren’t satisfying their needs.
The show will also include a Demo Day, to be held at one of South China’s most prestigious venues, and host over 20 leading brands
