That picture of Eric “The Sheik” Monti with Hogan was taken at the first tournament Hogan played in after an auto accident he was involved in that year (1949). Hogan insisted on NO PHOTO’S to be taken at that tournament of him and made sure the press did not follow him around the golf course. Well, this is one of a very, very few that slipped by him which was and is an amazing picture of Eric Monti in full swing. We have the original and it’s a beauty!

One more fact…..Eric “The Sheik” Monti carried around a Golflexx in his bag during his senior years of play and used it on the tee for instructing.
