NEWTOWN, Conn. — The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for the firearms industry, has offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the theft of firearms from The Angler Bait and Tackle, a federally licensed firearms retailer in Hudson, Indiana. This reward offer matches a $5,000 reward offer by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
According to ATF, 24 firearms were stolen in a Sept. 10 burglary from the store located at 7430 South State Road 327. ATF and the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the theft and are seeking information from the public that would lead to the resolution of this investigation.
The matching reward payment by NSSF will be granted only following payment of the initial ATF reward, which is up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the crime.
