RALEIGH, N.C. (Sept. 8, 2012) – ClubSoft North America, one of the country’s fastest-growing club management systems, announced today that it has added a pair of industry veterans. David Blair joins ClubSoft’s IT group while Carrie Seddon was named Director of Client Services.
Blair comes to ClubSoft by way of Lake Toxaway Country Club in Western North Carolina where he spent more than seven years gaining experience with almost all departments from managing the restaurant to purchasing and managing the pool. Lake Toxaway converted to ClubSoft in 2007, was one of the first hosted clients and converted to the Links Online Community in the beginning of 2012. David performed all IT operations for Lake Toxaway and was a regular user of ClubSoft, making him an ideal fit for the ClubSoft operations.
Originally from Lenoir, NC, David attended the University of South Carolina in Columbia and received his degree in Hospitality Management with a specialization in Club Management. He is an active member of CMAA for 7+ years and attended most of the world conferences during this time.
A resident of Rhode Island, Seddon comes to ClubSoft from Carnegie Abbey, where for seven years she worked and managed a variety of departments including human resources, accounting, spa, member services, housekeeping, and residential management.
Seddon is also an original ClubSoft Links user, and pushed to have ClubSoft Office installed at Carnegie Abbey.
She went to Bryant College and majored in Finance and Computer Information Systems.
Upon graduation, Seddon worked for a start-up technology company, managed a company that sold jewelry cleaners to the Mass Market, and worked as an accountant at a non-profit before she made her way to Carnegie Abbey.
“David and Carrie both bring a wealth of private club experience and knowledge to the ClubSoft team,” said ClubSoft CEO Ray McDonald. “David has been working in clubs since the age of 15, when he started life guarding at Cedar Rock Country Club in Lenoir.
He also spent a summer in Myrtle Beach working at Grande Dunes Ocean Club cooking for a summer internship. Carrie describes herself as a jack-of all-trades master of none, but the truth is that she has worked in many fields and within many job functions. We are thrilled to have them both as important members of the ClubSoft team.”
ClubSoft was built on a strategy of allowing clubs the option of dealing with one vendor for the “In box to tee box” solutions for automation. The company offers the most powerful club accounting and POS system available and is a leader in the private social network and reservation system.
