MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Web.com Tour marked its seventh rookie champion in 21 events at the Albertsons Boise Open this weekend, delivering the honor to a 22-year-old Illinois native.
With Project X in his irons, the young champion set a new tournament record 22-under total at the Boise Open. He shot a 6-under 65 in the final round to overcome a two-stroke deficit and then stretch his lead by four strokes to win his first pro tournament.
The runner-up at the Boise Open also relied on Project X performance. He trusted Project X graphite in his 3-wood and the new Project X Black in his hybrid. Project X Black features TeXtreme and Dual Torsional Control technology to deliver unmatched torsional integrity and stability through impact.
“Project X was perfected and proven on the professional tours and truly revolutionized steel golf shafts when it was first introduced,” says Chad Hall, director of product marketing and global tour operations for True Temper Sports. “That ground-breaking tradition has continued with our Project X graphite and Project X Black. We are excited to see all three tour-proven models deliver exceptional performance at the Boise Open this weekend.”
The Project X line of shafts are proven winners. The straight taper and short tip section of the Project X iron shafts provides maximum energy transfer with low spin rates required for penetrating iron shots. The Project X Graphite and Project X Black shafts are available in woods and hybrids.
