Shot Control Of Aldila’s RIP Beta Shaft Helps Albertsons Boise Open Champ Notch 1st Win

RIP series features five different shafts to help meet the needs of a variety of players

POWAY, Calif. – Benefitting from the shot control provided by Aldila’s RIP Beta shaft in his 3 wood, the winner of the Albertsons Boise Open captured his first victory on the Web.com Tour finishing with a tournament record 22-under 262 (64-71-62-65) and a first place check for $130,500.

With the win, the rookie who turned pro in June moved from the 22nd spot on the Web.com Tour money list to the fourth spot. The Top 25 on the money list at the end of the season automatically receive their PGA Tour cards for 2013.

The victory marked the fifth time in six starts on the Web.com Tour that the Illinois native has finished in the Top 10. He also has three starts on the PGA Tour this year and his best finish was a tie for 5th place at the John Deere Classic.

Aldila’s (www.aldila.com) RIP Beta is a mid-launch version of the original low-launch, stiff-tipped RIP Alpha that has been tested and proven across the PGA Tour. It also is made with Aldila’s patent-pending RIP Technology™ (Reverse Interlaminar Placement) which features lower torque, increased tip stability and better tip stiffness control.

“When designing the RIP®, Aldila engineers completely turned golf shaft design and performance inside out through the use of computer modeling technology and exclusive carbon fiber materials,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager.

Aldila’s RIP series features five different shafts to help meet the needs of a variety of players. The RIP Alpha, RIP Beta, RIP Gamma, RIP’d NV and RIP Phenom. Aldila also has RIP iron shaft prototypes in play on the Tour.

The RIP Alpha is a tip-stiff, low-to-mid launch with low spin and is the original shaft with lower torque, increased tip stability and better tip stiffness. The RIP Beta version has a slightly softer tip flex for mid launch, the RIP Gamma has the same launch characteristics as the original Alpha with a higher balance point for use with heavier heads to achieve a conventional swing weight.

The RIP’d NV incorporates the best performance attributes from two of Aldila’s most innovative shaft designs — the ‘perfect feel’ and slim, stable shaft profile of the Aldila NV® and the unprecedented control and accuracy of the Aldila RIP®. The Aldila NV, featuring Micro Laminate technology (MLT®), is the most popular aftermarket shaft in history.

The RIP Phenom incorporates RIP Technology™ with a unique composite construction to create a new and innovative shaft flex profile for maximum distance and control – the Hyperbolic Flex Zone™. RIP Technology repositions the materials and patterns to optimize the performance characteristics of the shaft. The Phenom’s Hyperbolic Flex Zone provides a stiff tip section for optimal launch and spin control, with a very firm butt section for an incredibly stable feel. The center section of the shaft is softer to provide outstanding kick through impact to maximize ball speed.

Aldila catapults power to an unprecedented level. High performance technology harnessed and perfected from a special blend of materials, design and expertise. They are continually on the leading edge of the golf world through their relentless pursuit of the next best innovation. They do the experimenting so you don’t have to. Pushing success to the edge and redefining how power should feel. Are you playing Aldila, or just graphite?
