IRVINE, CA – September 18, 2012 – FOURTEEN GOLF, the recognized leader in wedge design with 46 worldwide professional tour victories since 2010, proudly announced that two LPGA Professionals and FOURTEEN GOLF advocates played their winning wedges to lock in a fourth and tie for tenth place at the prestigious 2012 Ricoh Women’s British Open.
The demanding Royal Liverpool golf course combined with severe weather put a lot of pressure on every shot but particularly on the short shots and that is where majors are won. According to FOURTEEN GOLF COO Marcy Kamoda, “We did have two stellar Top-10 finishes using our wedges but another handful of LPGA Professional trusted our wedges to close the second and third page of the leaderboard. We believe SO many LPGA Professionals put the RM-11 Wedge into play at the Women’s British Open because of how well it performs in wet conditions.”
Extensive testing proved that the RM-11 Wedge is able to maintain near 80% of its spin in wet conditions while its competitors lost half of its spin performance. It also allows the ball to spin phenomenally whether it be in wet conditions or in super bad lies. “Golfers who play in inclement weather should try the RM-11 Wedge,” added Kamoda.
The wrap of the 2012 season continues to reward FOURTEEN GOLF and its tour department. Last week the company celebrated 35 Top-10 finishes and now two have been added to that count.
