The Dunes Course is named to Top 100 Courses You Can Play and Most Fun Courses
VALENTINE, Neb., Sept. 20, 2012 – The Prairie Club, a 46-hole semi-private resort in the Sand Hills region of western Nebraska, has been recognized among the top public courses in the U.S. by GOLF Magazine and Golf Digest. The Dunes Course at The Prairie Club has been named to GOLF Magazine’s list of “Top 100 Course You Can Play” at No. 78, and is one of five new courses that were added to the 2012 list. In addition, all three courses at The Prairie Club (Dunes Course, Pines Course and Horse Course), have been recognized as part of Golf Digest’s list of Top 50 Most Fun Public Golf Courses.

GOLF Magazine released its biennial list of the “Top 100 Courses You Can Play” in its September issue. With the addition of The Dunes Course at No. 78, this is the first year that The Prairie Club is represented on the list. The Dunes Course, designed by Tom Lehman and Chris Brands, spans across 360 acres in the natural, wind-shaped landscape of the Sand Hills and showcases a beautiful blend of golf and nature.
Golf Digest published its first ever ranking of the Most Fun Golf Courses in its September issue. The list was developed by about 1,100 Golf Digest panelists who provided “fun” scores to more than 500 courses throughout the country. These scores were averaged to create the rankings. The Horse Course, a 10-hole par-3 course designed by Gil Hanse, received the highest rating of the three at No. 10, followed by The Dunes Course at No. 19 and The Pines Course (designed by Graham Marsh) at No. 32.
