CHICAGO, IL – Dottie Pepper, former LPGA star and current NBC/Golf Channel personality who launched a children’s picture books series earlier this year featuring a range golf ball character named, Bogey Ballton, will make an appearance along with co-author Scott Fuller and their Bogey mascot at the Bagpipes & Blues Ryder Cup event this Thursday, September 27, 2012 at The Field Museum located at 1400 S. Lake Shore Drive from 8:00pm to 11:00pm. Pepper and Fuller will be signing books at the event which is being hosted by Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana (RMHC-CNI) and the Illinois PGA Foundation. 50 winners at the event will receive an autographed copy of Bogey Tees Off Vol. 1 – A Lesson About Being Truthful and the opportunity to have their picture taken with the Bogey mascot. This event will allow spectators to participate in the official PGA-sanctioned Pep Rally for the United States and European Teams on the evening before the Ryder Cup Matches begin.
Bogey Tees Off is the story about an ambitious range golf ball, Bogey Ballton, who is tired of his job at the practice range. His fate changes when John the Ball Washer helps Bogey to be Truthful with himself and follow his dream of becoming a pro tour golf ball. This is the first book in the Bogey series. Co-authored by Dottie Pepper & Scott Fuller, and Illustrated by Kenneth Templeton, Bogey offers a unique way for kids and families to be introduced to the game of golf while promoting life lessons and values that are applicable on and off the golf course. A portion of the sale proceeds will go to help support Junior golf initiatives.
