(PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla.) — PGA National Resort & Spa Director of Golf Jane Broderick has been named “Professional of the Year” by the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Teaching and Club Professional (T&CP) membership.
This acclaim follows Broderick being honored in 2011 as a “LPGA Master Professional,” marking the first time a dual member has held both the LPGA and PGA Master Professional titles.
Broderick was elected to membership in the PGA of America in 1990 and attained PGA Master Professional status. She was elected into the LPGA in 1994 with recognition over the years as its 1998 “National LPGA Professional of the Year” as well as the “LPGA Southeast Section Professional of The Year” in 1998, 2003, 2006, 2009 and 2012. She is certified in tournament operations with the PGA of America and currently serves on the faculty of the PGA Master Professional Program.
In addition to her LPGA and PGA responsibilities, Broderick is on the Advisory Board of the Golf Association of Florida, is a Board Member of the Northern Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce, and sits on the Tournament Committee for the Leta Lindley Prader Willi Classic held at PGA National.
“Jane is one of the major reasons PGA National is widely known as one the premier golf operations in the U.S.,” says Joel Paige, vice president and managing director. “In addition to her superlative professionalism and expertise, she’s a highly admired member of our PGA National family.”
“Being recognized by ones’ peers is the highest of honors one can receive,” says Broderick. “I am extremely fortunate to work at a world-class facility, with a group of incredibly talented people and with very supportive owners here at PGA National.”
