(PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla.) – PGA National Resort & Spa – the legendary South Florida destination – is hosting the Executive Women’s Golf Association (EWGA) Championship on its Palmer and Squire courses, Oct. 5 – 6.
The tournament attracts more than 200 EWGA participants from across the United States and Canada. Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Palm Beach Gardens, the EWGA has impacted more than 100,000 members in its 21-year history by creating sustainable golf for women in 130 communities.
In addition to The Palmer and The Squire, PGAN National also features The Estates Course and The Champion Course – annual venue of PGA TOUR’s Honda Classic and previous host of the 1987 PGA Championship, 1983 Ryder Cup and nearly two decades of the Senior PGA Championship. Its new “Fazio Course” is set to open Nov. 1.
PGA National also has the unique distinction of being home to both the David Leadbetter Golf Academy and Dave Pelz Scoring Game School, along with offering a tour level fitting experience at the PGA National Club Fitting Lab.
“We’re honored to host the EWGA Championship and help promote women’s golf,” says Joel Paige, vice president and managing director. “With five outstanding courses we’ll able to provide a layout perfect for every occasion from major championships to the golf vacation of a lifetime.”
