‘The Hottest Shafts In Golf’ captures wood, hybrid shaft manufacturer counts on PGA Tour
POWAY, Calif. – Benefitting from the lower torque, increased tip stability and better tip stiffness control of Aldila’s RIP shaft in his driver, the winner of the Neediest Kids Championship captured his first Web.com Tour title. He used Aldila’s hottest shaft to card an 8-under 272, including a final round of 66, to win by one stroke. With the victory he picked up a check for $108,000 and jumped from 27th to 7th place on the Web.com Tour money list with only a couple tournaments left. The Top 25 money leaders on the Web.com Tour at the end of the season automatically receive their PGA Tour cards for 2013.
On the PGA Tour, the deadly accuracy of Aldila’s RIP shaft was instrumental for the Most Accurate Driver at the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. He finished with an overall driving accuracy percentage of 75 percent, which was well ahead of the Field’s average of 57.48 percent.
“The RIP employs patent-pending technology and exclusive materials to completely transform shaft design from the inside out,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. “Through the use of computer modeling technology and exclusive materials provided by the Aldila Materials Division, Aldila engineers were able to completely rethink golf shaft design and performance. The result is a revolutionary shaft with optimum flex and torque characteristics with incredible feel.”
“The Hottest Shafts In Golf” also captured the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts on the PGA Tour. At the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open Aldila had 23 more wood and 9 more hybrid shafts in play than their closest competitor, according to the Darrell Survey. It marked the 36th time this season Aldila has won the wood shaft manufacturer count and the 37th time Aldila has captured the hybrid shaft manufacturer count on the PGA Tour.
