DALLAS – Teravista Golf Club, an 18-hole, 7,200-yard layout in Round Rock, Texas, operated by Eagle Golf, was recently named the top public course in Central Texas by the Austin Business Journal.
The par-72 course located just north of Austin showcases the Texas Hill Country with rolling hills throughout the layout and constant breezes creating unique challenges with every shot. The course also has five sets of tees to accommodate every skill level from the experienced golfer seeking a true test to the beginner who just want to have fun.
“This is a great honor for Teravista Golf Club and our golf course staff there,” said Joe Munsch, president of Eagle Golf. “We pride ourselves on operating facilities that are known for great conditions and customer service. This recognition validates our management approach at Teravista.”
The recognition from the Austin Business Journal is the latest in a series of accomplishments for the club since Dallas-based Eagle Golf assumed management in December of 2009. Since then, the club, which is owned by Newland Communities, has greatly increased its profile in the community through partnerships with local chambers of commerce, businesses and charities resulting in increased play by more than 10 percent. Tournament revenues have more than doubled since 2008.
Since 2009, the club has been named one of the most beginner-friendly courses by the National Golf Course Owners Association, earned a nomination for Golf Course of the Year from Austin’s FAME and received Wedding Wire’s “Bride’s Choice Award.”
Eagle has been in operation for more than 28 years. Based in Dallas, the company provides a full suite of golf course management services to 30 golf facilities across the country. More information can be found at www.eaglegolf.com.
