A Fiji-born player birdied the 71st and 72nd hole on Sunday to earn his 1st top-5 finish on the PGA Tour in 2012. Using a SuperStroke 17″ Slim Lite belly, the 34-time PGA Tour winner grabbed a T4 finish and led the field in both putts per GIR (1.596) and birdies (21).
The 17″ Slim Lite belly is the world’s first oversized belly grip that also used SuperStroke’s patented non-taper technology. This combination offers belly users the benefits of relaxed hands and forearms, allowing the putter to swing on its natural path.
A player using a SuperStroke Fatso also closed strong, finishing T11 at CordeValle Golf Club. The University of Oklahoma alumni shot a bogey-free back nine 32, jumping him into the top-25. The Fatso, 1.67″ in diameter, enhanced the pendulum putting stroke for the Texas native, helping him finish the event 4th in putts per round (27.3).
SuperStroke Golf is ready for Sea Island, GA., site of the next PGA Tour Fall Series event. With just under $29 million in player earnings, SuperStroke Golf continues to be the # jumbo putter grips on the PGA Tour.
Total won in 2012 (to date): $28.7 Million
