BALTIMORE, MD. – October 16, 2012 – STX Golf, world-renowned as an industry pioneer in putter innovation with its patented Soft Face Insert Technology, announced today that the company and its Sync Series 7 (SS7) was credited for a ninth place at the Web.com Tour Miccosukee Championship.
The STX Sync Series has been used on the PGA Tour for decades and has been used to capture 12 PGA Tour events but is relatively new on the Web.com Tour. It was introduced this spring. In this short period of time, the Sync Series has been played to close six Top-10 finishes, including a second place finish at the WNB Classic and a third place finish at the Rex Hospital Open, one stroke behind the champion.
According to STX Director of Golf Steve Henneman, “These Top-10 finishes mean a tremendous amount to STX. The professionals who play on the Web.com are chasing their dreams of being on the PGA Tour and they are using our putters to attain that.”
STX Golf has been at the forefront of the belly and long length putter market. In 2002, the company had PGA Touring Professional Scott McCarron on staff who earned 1.5 million dollars wielding a STX Sync long putter. Since then, STX has continued to innovate this every growing category and the SS7 proves it.
Sync Series 7 (SS7) belly putter with its innovative, avant-garde head and face insert was put into play by a Web.com Tour Professional on the Miccosukee Golf and Country Club to shoot four impressive rounds including an opening round of 67. It also claimed an 8th place ranking for the field in “Putts per Green.”
The SS7 putter features a heavier head with perimeter weighting, perfectly suited for both belly and long length putters. Its wing-like sections add balance with weight. These segments are also designed for an easy, non-drag take away. Optic openings aid with alignment as well as weight distribution. The center shafted SS7 putter head is finished with a distinctive black PVD coating and weighs either 450 grams for the belly or 500 grams for the long. The belly lengths are 41-inches and 43-inches. The SS7 long putter is available in 48-inches and 50-inches.
