CARLSBAD, Calif., Oct. 17, 2012 — KemperSports, a leading golf course management company, today announced the appointment of two management positions at The Crossings at Carlsbad in Carlsbad, Calif. Brian Wagoner has been named as the new sales and marketing director and Justin Cullimore has been appointed as the new executive chef at the California facility. The Crossings at Carlsbad is a premier golf and dining destination located in scenic San Diego County, approximately 30 minutes north of downtown San Diego.
As the director of sales and marketing, Wagoner will be responsible for group sales and general marketing initiatives for the club, as well as community outreach with various local charities and organizations. Wagoner brings several years of experience in both the golf and hotel industry as he’s held a variety of positions throughout the North San Diego County over the past 10 years. Most recently, Wagoner served as the director of sales and marketing at The Homewood Suites by Hilton in Carlsbad, Calif. Wagoner was also recently nominated by Island Hospitality Management for Hotel Management Magazine’s “Top 30 Upcoming Hoteliers Under 30” showcase.
Cullimore, who previously studied under Iron Chef Competitor Greg Bernhardt, will be responsible for the kitchen operations and menu development as the executive chef at The Crossings at Carlsbad. As a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, Cullimore will be an invaluable asset to the Canyons restaurant at The Crossings at Carlsbad with his variety of dishes, hands-on experience and knowledge of food quality and presentation. Cullimore will also manage the kitchen operations for all events at The Crossings at Carlsbad, which includes a large number of local and destination weddings each year.
“We are pleased to welcome both Brian and Justin to the team at The Crossings at Carlsbad,” said General Manager Gary Glaser. “Their extensive experience in the industry will strengthen our team and help support our continued growth in the community as a premium venue for golf and dining in the San Diego area.”
