October 23, 2012 – Birmingham, Ala. – Honours Golf Company has been selected by The Colonial Company to provide management services for Maggie Valley Club & Resort, an upscale golf community in Maggie Valley, N.C.
With its location near Waynesville and Asheville in western North Carolina, Maggie Valley Club is enjoyed year-round by residents, golfers and vacationing families seeking respite and relaxation in a resort atmosphere. Its scenic setting in the Smoky Mountains and variety of indoor and outdoor function space make the property a popular choice for weddings, parties, meetings, reunions and other special events. Since it opened in 1962, the resort has developed a rich tradition based on its unique blend of Southern hospitality, scenic vistas and mountain golf.
The centerpiece of the property is its 6,500-yard championship course, which offers panoramic views of the valley and mountain ridgelines. The course design by William Prevost Sr. incorporates some of western North Carolina’s most spectacular scenery, with an elevation rise of 800 feet between the front Valley Nine and the more challenging Mountain Nine. Flanked by centennial trees, the fairways feature native foliage, perennial gardens and creek-fed ponds.

The property includes approximately 40 condominiums available for vacation rentals and stay-and-play golf packages.
