The PuttingZone Community of 152 Certified Coaches in 20 Countries congratulates PZ players Katie Burnett and Lanto Griffin for their recent successes in the LPGA Q-School and the PGA Tour Q-School Stage I competitions.
Katie Burnett, a recent graduate of the USC Gamecocks golf team that won the Regionals and finished a school-best-ever 5th in the NCAA Finals for 2012, blistered the Q-School field to win by 6 shots. Lanto Griffin in the Stage I PGATour Q-School in Kanapolis NC finished 8th to advance to Stage II.
Both players have been trained in PuttingZone techniques. Griffin has completed the full PuttingZone certification program, and Burnett was tutored by PuttingZone Coach Kalen Anderson, the Women’s Head Coach for the South Carolina Gamecocks.
Griffin also nearly won the European PGA Tour Q-School competition in Portugal earlier this month, and finished 3rd to advance to Stage II.
Geoff Mangum, founder of the PuttingZone, said, “Lanto and Katie are both playing great right now, and we wish them all the best in Stage II so they can get out on the big Tours and show what they can do! Both are winners.”
Over the past ten years, the PuttingZone has grown to include 152 Certified Coaches teaching in 20 countries: the United States, Canada, England, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain, Morocco, South Africa, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea.
