Vedbaek, Denmark, October 30, 2012 – TrackMan Client Peter Hanson won his second European Tour event of the year Sunday, the BMW Masters in Shanghai, China. Hanson’s tournament shot total was one better than world number one, Rory McIlroy. Hanson purchased his TrackMan earlier in the year to improve his iron and driver game.
Rickard Lindberg, Hanson’s swing & technique coach, commented, “TrackMan has helped us tremendously. We are using it in almost every training session, mainly focusing on distance control, the wedge game, and on improving driving performance. Hanson also played a new TaylorMade driver at the BMW Masters, which was fitted using TrackMan. TaylorMade’s Chris Trott stated, “Peter felt he had been losing accuracy in recent weeks and was fighting the ball launch. TrackMan showed a positive attack angle with his driver and a low spin rate for his ball speed and launch angle. To assist with accuracy and help Peter launch the driver, I added loft via the FCT sleeve allowing Peter to feel he could cover the ball more and pick up 200 – 300 rpm spin. The result was improved accuracy for his launch conditions.”
Hanson was joined by three other TrackMan clients who finished among the top 6: Ian Poulter, Justin Rose, and Alexander Noren.
