Puerto Rico’s new golf and private-membership club is ready for its first full season with spacious casitas, elegant dining, and a thrilling golf course
Isabela, Puerto Rico (November 1, 2012) – Royal Isabela-the world-class golf and private membership club perched on the dramatic cliffs of northwest Puerto Rico-announces its first full schedule of rates for the newly opened Casitas.
The $100 million community recently celebrated its grand opening with a series of gala events attended by leading Puerto Rican politicians, officials, and celebrities. Leading the festivities were Royal Isabela’s co-founders, brothers Stanley and Charlie Pasarell and Edwin Perez.
Also unveiled were 20 luxury one-bedroom Casitas, freestanding “little houses” featuring expansive indoor and outdoor space, ocean views, and proximity to the club’s spectacular golf links. Each 1,500-square-foot Casita also has its own private terrace with plunge pool. Inside are airy living rooms and bedrooms fitted with natural wood floors and ceilings, two LCD televisions, a wet bar, Frette linens and robes, and complimentary high-speed internet access.
The first-season Casita per night rates are:
November 15-December 15, 2012: $799
December 16, 2012-April 16, 2013: $999-$1,199
April 17-November 14, 2013: $709
Rates include golf for two each day, daily breakfast, complimentary transportation around the property, and nightly turndown service. Preferred pricing is available for club members and their immediate family. Rates may vary during holidays. A minimum two-night stay is required on weekends; holiday weekends require a three-night minimum stay.
A limited number of special Casita packages are still available through mid-December, when a three-day/two-night stay is $899. Packages also include golf for two and daily breakfast.
Also recently opening was the Restaurant at La Casa, offering fine farm-to-table dining based on locally sourced ingredients.
An experienced hospitality and concierge staff is onsite to meet guests’ every need. Guests are called before arrival to determine transportation requirements, in-room preferences, dinner and golf reservations.
Royal Isabela is committed to environmental sustainability, setting extremely high standards for the preservation and planting of all trees, flowers, even the grass on the golf course. The founders established the El Pastillo Conservation Trust to protect and nurture the land, which features an organic farm that employs local homeless and disabled men and uses the proceeds to provide them with housing, food, social services, and life skills.
The magnificent property stretches along 426 oceanfront acres and over cliffs that range in elevation from 150 to 350 feet above the Caribbean Sea. The Links at Royal Isabela-designed by the Pasarells and golf course architect David Pfaff-opened last year and was immediately named one of the “top new layouts to watch” by Golf Magazine. It also was cited as one of Robb Report’s “Best of the Best” golf courses for 2012.
