Lemont, Ill., Nov. 7, 2012 – Jemsek Golf announced today that is has received an extension on its lease for Pine Meadow Golf Course in Mundelein, Ill. Jemsek Golf has leased the golf course from the University of St. Mary of the Lake and the Archdiocese of Chicago since 1985.
“We are pleased to reach an agreement to continue our lease for Pine Meadow,” said Frank Jemsek, owner of Cog Hill Golf & Country Club. “We have had a wonderful partnership through the years with St. Mary of the Lake and the Archdiocese and appreciate their support and confidence in us to continue to provide a first-rate golfing experience for our guests.”
In 1985 Frank Jemsek and his father signed their first lease agreement for Pine Meadow. They spent several million dollars to have it renovated by two highly regarded architects – Joe Lee and Rocky Roquemore. In 1986, Pine Meadow was named Best New Public Course by Golf Magazine. Since then Pine Meadow has earned many accolades. The course appears annually on Golfweek’s Top 10 Best in State list and biannually on Golf Digest’s Best In State rankings. It is also on Golf Digest’s Top 100 Club Fitters list and has been nationally recognized as one of the best golf shops in the country.
Pine Meadow is an 18-hole, 7,238-yard championship layout with large old oak trees, 60-foot tall pines, maples and shagbark hickory trees that border the fairways. Golfers are challenged with 86 sand bunkers and three grass bunkers. Green fees are $59 weekdays and $73 on weekends. The learning center and practice facility is considered one of the best in Northern Illinois.

As part of the lease agreement, Jemsek Golf will continue to manage the golf and clubhouse operations. Pine Meadow Golf Course is known for its wide-range of golf programs and events designed for golfers of all age levels and abilities.
Jemsek Golf owns and operates Cog Hill Golf and Country Club in Lemont, Ill., St. Andrews Golf and Country Club in West Chicago, Ill., and leases Pine Meadow Golf Course in Mundelein, Ill.
Jemsek Golf has been recognized nationally for its leadership role in daily-fee golf by the National Golf Foundation and the PGA of America. Also, Joe and Frank Jemsek are members of the Illinois Golf Hall of Fame which recognizes individuals who have significantly contributed to the rich history and tradition of the game.
