HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA – November 12, 2012 – Cleveland® Golf/Srixon® congratulates staffer Charlie Beljan for his dramatic win over the weekend at the PGA TOUR Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Classic at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. In the place “Where Dreams Come True,” the 28-year-old TOUR rookie persevered through shortness of breath, a racing heart and a massive headache to shoot 16-under par and notch his first career victory by two strokes. Beljan, a native of Mesa, Ariz., earned $846,000, a two-year exemption on the PGA TOUR, and berths into next year’s Hyundai Tournament of Champions in Hawaii and The PGA Championship.
“It was incredible,” said Beljan, whose wife, Merisa and newborn son, Graham, flew to the tournament Sunday to witness the victory. “It still isn’t real.”
