Michael Vidal named new director of golf
Mashpee, Mass. – (November 14, 2012) – Southworth Development announced today that Michael Vidal has been named Director of Golf at Willowbend. Michael has worked for Southworth for the past 5 years and is one of the company’s rising stars. His attention to detail, customer service, operational knowledge and passion for hospitality are second to none. Mr. Vidal will move to Willowbend from another Southworth Development Property, Creighton Farms in Aldie, VA.
Prior to joining Creighton Farms in 2008, Mike was the 1st Assistant Golf Professional at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida where he began as an intern in 2004. Mike graduated from Ferris State University with a degree in business administration, is a Class A member of the PGA of America and is an accomplished player. Mike is a native of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, is married with one son. Mike and his family will arrive on the Cape in December.
Mike will join our superb golf staff of Ray Richards, Richie Packish, Rhett Bishop, Victor Colon and Danny Caverly. In addition to building on the many wonderful accomplishments of our current golf program, our golf team’s focus in 2013 will be to strengthen our junior programs, improve our Camp Willowbend golf offerings, refine our member tournaments and events, enhance our guests of members experiences and implement service standards in our locker rooms commensurate with the finest private golf clubs in America. Mike has also played a major role in our company’s retail and, in addition to his duties with our golf shop, he will also oversee our retail efforts at Willowbend’s fitness shop due to open this Spring.
