The golf experience business of former Ryder Cup player Andrew Coltart has checked-in with Scottish private jet charter company, Execair, to take a flight into the luxury travel market.
TPEGS, run by Coltart and former European Tour coach Gary Nicol from Archerfield Links in East Lothian, is launching a programme of helicopter golf tours, from Archerfield to Kingsbarns, Gleneagles and Skibo Castle.
The flights will be chartered by Execair, owned by Elena Torres, an Edinburgh-based entrepreneur, and customers will be joined on the tours by Andrew Coltart and Gary Nicol, who will provide coaching and stories from life on the world golf tours.
Andrew Coltart said: “We have been planning this partnership for a while, having worked with Execair and Elena to carefully select a small number of high quality partners.
“Scotland is the home of golf, and countless people from around the world come here to play our famous courses and enjoy our world-famous hospitality. This new venture will allow visitors to see more of the country and play more golf and we’ll give them a few lessons along the way.”
Golfers arriving at Edinburgh Airport will be driven by Bentley to Archerfield Links, where they will be based for the duration of any tour. Helicopters will shuttle guests to and from the other golf courses.
Execair was founded in 2006, and sports clients include Paul Lawrie and tennis player, Juan Martin del Potro. Elena Torres said: “This is an exciting collaboration between two Scottish businesses with a shared passion for Scotland and all it has to offer golfers and visitors from around the world.
Gary Nicol, TPEGS director of coaching, said: “TPEGS is for golfers of all abilities and is principally about enjoying the game and learning new tricks on Scotland’s finest golf courses.”
