DALLAS – The Cowboys Golf Club, operated by Eagle Golf, has been named the best public course in the Dallas-Fort Worth area by Avid Golfer magazine for the 11th consecutive year. Opened in 2001, the club offers an all-inclusive approach to public golf and features beautiful aesthetics and elevation changes mixed with the history of the city’s storied NFL franchise.
The club was also recognized as the best course in the area to hold a corporate event and for best course renovations after its recent bunker improvements.
“Eagle Golf takes great pride in the golf experience and the customer service we provide at the courses we manage throughout the country,” said Joe Munsch, President of Eagle Golf. “These awards validate the Eagle Golf approach to golf course management and operations, and we congratulate the staff at the Cowboys Golf Club and at our other courses recognized by Avid Golfer for their accomplishments.”
Three other Eagle Golf courses in the area also received top honors from the magazine. Lake Park Golf Club’s Executive Course was selected as the best place in the area to learn the game because of its extensive player development program and the experience of the instructional staff; Mansfield National Golf Club was named the top value priced course, and The Links at Land’s End was named the best outlying course because of a beautiful lakefront layout and convenient stay-and-play options.
Cowboys Golf Club updated its clubhouse and restaurant, The Sideline Grill, during the last year, which was cited by the magazine as a contributing factor in the club’s award for hosting corporate events. Mansfield National Golf Club earned its praise due to improved course conditions over the last year as well as its challenging course layout.
A fifth course operated by Eagle Golf, Indian Creek Golf Club, was rated one of the top five premium courses in the area for its outstanding course conditions, including its signature undulating greens that pose a great challenge to golfers.
The Avid Golfer rankings were the work of three panelists selected by the magazine to visit every public course in the Dallas area during the year.
Eagle Golf has been in operation for more than 28 years. Based in Dallas, the company provides a full suite of golf course management services to 30 golf courses located in major metropolitan areas in seven states. Eagle Golf’s portfolio includes seven private country clubs and 23 properties classified as premium or moderately priced daily fee courses.
