New FIT to W.I.N pavilion, sponsored by TPI, expanded Golf Travel Pavilion join popular Show Floor destinations such as the PGA Show Equipment Test Center, PGA Forum Stage, New Product Zone
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – New and returning interactive destinations will be found throughout the Show Floor and among exciting exhibits by more than 1,000 top golf companies and brands at the 60th PGA Merchandise Show, January 24-26, 2013, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.
A new FIT to W.I.N. pavilion, sponsored by the Titleist Performance Institute, promoting health and wellness among golfers, an enhanced PGA Show Golf Travel Pavilion, plus a new Fashion Showcase & Networking Lounge have been added to Show Floor popular destinations such as the PGA Show Equipment Test Center, PGA Forum Stage and New Product Zone.
“By spreading out valuable industry programs and resources throughout the Show Floor, we can help attendees more easily accomplish business objectives, drive traffic throughout all 10 miles of Show aisles and create a dynamic business environment beginning at the PGA Show Indoor Demo Days of the equipment hall and stretching to the PGA Show Fashion Showcase & Networking Lounge of the apparel hall,” said PGA Golf Exhibitions Senior Vice President Ed Several.
The 2013 PGA Merchandise Show Floor destinations include:
FIT to W.I.N. Pavilion – The new FIT to W.I.N. pavilion sponsored by the Titleist Performance Institute will focus on health benefits of golf along with the programs and products that aid in increasing performance. Daily presentations by industry health, fitness and teaching experts will be offered.
PGA Show Fashion Showcase & Networking Lounge – The PGA Show Fashion Showcase & Networking Lounge will be located in the Apparel Hall, featuring a display of the latest apparel designs and new apparel accessory offerings.
The PGA Show Golf Travel Pavilion – The new PGA Show Golf Travel Pavilion will allow attendees to source the latest resort, golf facility and travel services from destinations such as Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Mexico and more.
PGA Forum Stage -The PGA Forum Stage will feature a keynote industry presentation at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24, plus, additional presentations on player development, new equipment introductions, new golf fashions, women’s golf initiatives, junior golf, teaching best practices, merchandising ideas and more.
PGA Show Indoor Demo Days at the Equipment Test Center – The country’s largest indoor golf range and equipment test center will provide the setting for the PGA Show Indoor Demo Days where attendees will experience hands-on testing of the newest equipment and the latest advances in technology and design from leading golf companies. The PGA Show Equipment Test Center features a scalloped layout of some 47 hitting bays, a putting green and a PGA Short Game Challenge Area.
New Product Zone – The popular “New Product Zone,” a Show Floor destination that some 87 percent of attendees visit, will showcase hundreds of the newest equipment, apparel, products and accessories in one convenient Show Floor setting.
Inventor’s Spotlight – The United Inventors Association (UIA) and Invention Home are co-hosting the Inventor’s Spotlight, a specialty area designed for inventors to gauge interest from the golf community regarding an innovative new product or service not in the marketplace.
Specialty Exhibitor Pavilions – Multiple specialty exhibitor pavilions will allow attendees to easily locate products and services in one convenient setting. Specialty pavilions in 2013 will include: New Exhibitor Discovery Zone; PGA Partners; and International Exhibitor Pavilions for the United Kingdom, Korea and Taiwan.
PGA Section Short Game Challenge – Nearby the PGA Show Equipment Test Center, PGA Professionals will once again have the opportunity for bragging rights among their peers by testing their chipping and putting skills in the PGA Section Short Game Challenge right on the Show Floor. Each PGA Professional and PGA apprentice competitor will be allowed two putts and two chips with the total distance of all putts and chips used to determine each day’s final results. Prize money will be paid to the winning PGA Sections on a daily basis. The PGA Section Short Game Challenge is supported by PGA partners Callaway Golf, Cobra, Nike, PING, TaylorMade and Titleist.
PGA Golf Shop – The PGA Golf Shop will be centrally located in the Products/Services Hall to provide all attendees with the opportunity to order and purchase PGA-licensed merchandise in their state-of-the-art 5,600 square-foot store.
ICG Connections Center – The International Clubmakers Guild will provide attendees the opportunity to meet with vendors dedicated to the clubmaking profession, attend continuing education seminars, network with golf industry professionals, and participate in the inaugural ICG general membership meeting.
NGCOA Networking Center – The NGCOA Networking Center will provide golf course owners with a destination to meet with peers, network and conduct business in a casual business setting.
About the 60th PGA Merchandise Show
The 60th PGA Merchandise Show, held January 24-26, 2013, in Orlando, Fla., will welcome some 1,000 top golf companies and brands and more than 40,000 industry professionals from around the world to the industry’s annual global summit for the business of golf. The PGA Show Outdoor Demo Day, the world’s largest professional golf testing event, will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at the Orange County National Golf Center. During Show days, PGA Professionals, retailers and industry leaders will uncover the latest trends, source the newest golf merchandise, test the latest equipment, learn proven business best practices, network among peers and move forward the business of the game.
