PHOENIX, AZ, December 4, 2012-SmartCart announced today several functionality enhancements of their smartphone application. These improvements provide added convenience and service to both the golfer and the facility.
SmartCart is the first free to download application to tap into 90% of golfers that use a smartphone. After a golfer downloads and signs into SmartCart, the GPS automatically locates any course within a 25-mile radius. When the golfer checks into a SmartCart club, they have immediate access to custom menus and scorecards. From this point on, golfers can easily place orders throughout the facility. The orders populate into SmartCart’s web based back-end, keeping the staff up to date. The orders are promptly filled and completed. The result is that the golfer is satisfied and the course has an immediate increase in revenue.
Their latest improvement to the app will be launched before the upcoming PGA Show in Orlando. SmartCart will now be able to create personalized apps for private and public clubs (including country, city, yacht etc) as well as resorts and even restaurants. The application can be personalized and customized with the look and branding of the facility, but retains all the useful features of SmartCart. This allows clubs or management groups to keep the exclusivity and regional marketing influences under control their control. SmartCart is able to support non-golf facilities by replacing the scorecard with events or specials calendar.
According to VP David Darnell, “We are really trying to focus on the facilities regulars and members by providing the ‘To Go’ business.” SmartCart has made it simple for mom or dad in the office or from the living room to order lunch or dinner and quickly pick it up. This also allows the club to give the best customer service possible without raising the overhead. “If a club wanted to create their own app of this standard it would cost hundreds of thousand dollars, so our solution is a great way to get into mobile commerce and engage the new generation of customers. 90% of the customers carry smartphones and 75% of those have placed an order for something using their phone. We are not just a pointless web app that adds no value to the clubs bottom line,” says Darnell.
Darnell adds, “We are dedicated to continually improving our product for both the golfer, the course and the community. SmartCart is essentially adding a full time waiter for only $1,500 dollars a year! We are certain our customers will be pleased with the additional functionality.”
