(SCOTTSDALE, AZ) – Boccieri Golf – maker of the Tour-proven Heavy Putter – announces it has partnered with Golfsmith for the “Phoenix Faceoff” putting challenge, where golfers compete on Saturday, December 8, for the chance to win a variety of prizes, including a behind-the-scenes tour of the Boccieri Golf Research and Performance Center, custom built equipment and more.
The stroke play contest will be held from 10 – 11 a.m. at Phoenix area Golfsmith retailers. One winner from each store will advance to the finals, held Saturday, December 15, at the Peoria at Arrowhead location, where a “City Champion” will be crowned. Golfsmith employees will track scoring and a free lunch will be served at noon. The first 25 entrants will receive a free prize package containing balls, tees, a golf glove and other merchandise. The grand prize includes:
• Tour of the state-of-the-art Boccieri Golf Research and Performance Center
• Lunch with Heavy Putter inventor Stephen Boccieri
• Custom fit and engraved Heavy Putter using SAM Puttlab analysis
• Custom fit Heavy Driver
“There are many good players in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area and we’re looking forward to crowning the region’s top putter,” says Boccieri, President and CEO of Boccieri Golf. “This contest will highlight why the Heavy Putter has amassed legions of professional and amateur followers worldwide, as its unique counterweighted design helps all golfers make more putts.”
Participants in the “Phoenix Faceoff” will use a Heavy Putter during the competition, either their own or one from the Golfsmith collection. Boccieri Golf’s patented design of heavier mass in the club head and counter-balanced weight in the grip end of the shaft automatically engages the body’s larger, more stable muscles to promote greater stroke stability, swing path consistency and precise distance and direction control.
