CARLSBAD, CALIF. (December 11, 2012) – Casey Wittenberg, who plays TaylorMade equipment, wears adidas Golf apparel and footwear, was today named the 2012 Web.com Tour Player of the Year after an outstanding season in which he won twice and was the leading money winner.
The Oklahoma State alumnus claimed wins at the Chitimacha Louisiana Open and at the Preferred Health Systems Wichita Open. One of the highlights of his season came at the 2012 U.S. Open at Olympic Club, where he finished T10. In his 24 starts this year, he netted eight top-10 finishes. Overall, he earned $433,453.
Wittenberg, 28, is fully exempt on the PGA Tour in 2013 including an invitation to THE PLAYERS Championship at TPC Sawgrass in May.
