Kevin Cartledge and Chef Shayne Taylor join Georgia’s premier residential golf community
Statham, Ga. (December 17, 2012) – The Georgia Club, managed by Affiniti Golf Partners, welcomes Kevin Cartledge and Shane Taylor as the newest members of the community’s leadership team. Cartledge joins The Georgia Club as the new general manager responsible for all staff, operations and financials. Taylor is The Georgia Club’s new executive chef. He will oversee the culinary staff, menu development and food quality.
Prior to joining The Georgia Club, Cartledge worked with Affiniti in acquisitions and new club development. He has been operations manager and general manager at several clubs in the southeast, including general manager at Gettysvue Polo, Golf and Country Club in Knoxville, Tenn. Cartledge attended Life University as a student-athlete on a golf scholarship, which sparked his interest in golf and country club management.

Chef Shayne Taylor joins The Georgia Club with 13 years of experience, most recently as the executive sous chef at Belfair Plantation, a five-star platinum golf community located in the Hilton Head area of South Carolina. Before that, he was the sous chef at Forest Hills Country Club in St. Louis, where he also spent time at the James Beard award-winning restaurant, Niche. Taylor is an active member of the American Culinary Federation, having served on numerous boards and advisory committees for local culinary programs. He has a culinary arts degree from Southwestern Illinois College. Taylor lives with his wife, Jessica, and two sons in Statham, Ga.
